Nine chapters of the visual set

EYWA is a building whose most important features are invisible in a photograph: a Faraday mesh, a water treatment train, a crystal mass cast into the structure. This page therefore explains what the visual set covers and what each chapter is actually showing you.

Structure

What is photographed, and why it matters

The order below follows the way you would move through the building — from the street, up through the shared floors, into a residence, then down to the parking. Each chapter names what is in frame and what the frame does not tell you.

  1. 01

    Façade and podium

The banyan translated into structure: trunks rising through the podium, planting carried up the elevation as “flying trees”, and waterfalls worked into the façade. Close-ups show the depth of the terraces, which is what makes the planting survive a Dubai summer.

  2. 02

    Residence terraces

Every apartment in EYWA has its own pool and waterfall on the terrace, set against unique stone slabs. The wide shots are the honest ones here: they show how much of each residence is outdoor room rather than balcony.

  3. 03

    The lobby nest and library

The arrival sequence sits between the banyan trunks, with a reading room of more than 2,500 books and a nest-and-waterfall composition that sets the acoustic tone before the lifts. This is where the 432 Hz sound system in the main hall is first audible.

  4. 04

    The crystal garden

Meditation gardens built around crystal masses, and the pyramid itself — 3,355 semi-precious stones, part of the 18 tonnes of crystal and semi-precious stone worked into the building. Photographs show placement; they cannot show the reason for it, which the Vastu pages explain.

  5. 05

    The amenities floor terrace

The shared level: pools including the 5 × 25 m infinity pool, relaxation areas, the children’s playground, the open-air cinema with its two projection waterfalls, and the crystal labyrinth laid out for walking meditation.

  6. 06

    Spa and the Faraday-mesh lounge

The treatment side of the building — the herbal sauna, the Japanese treatment room and the state-of-the-art spa — alongside the lounge whose Faraday mesh curtains screen electromagnetic fields. The mesh reads as a textile in a photograph; that is deliberate.

  7. 07

    The penthouse yoga room

A dedicated practice room inside the penthouse, and the pyramid yoga room in the shared amenity set. Both are shot empty, because the point of the space is the volume, the daylight and the silence rather than the equipment.

  8. 08

Club house dining and the chef’s table

The club house restaurant with its chef’s table, served by three separate kitchens — vegetarian, vegan and traditional — and tuned by the same 432 Hz acoustic system used in the spa and the gym.

  9. 09

Innovative parking with a recreational lounge

The parking level is treated as a room rather than a basement: secure and generously sized, with a lounge area built into it for games and company. It is the clearest example of the project’s habit of refusing dead space.

Chapter descriptions follow the captioned pages of the two developer presentations; renders show design intent and are indicative.

How to get the imagery

High-resolution renders and the photographic set are released by the developer in the two presentations and in the tower-specific image packs. We send them in full with the brochure pack rather than compressing them for a web gallery, and we can send a chapter on its own if you only need one — the terraces, say, or the amenities floor.
